The limit is part of the work.
These are operating rules, not a mood. If a request conflicts with them, the desk declines the request.
Consent.
A yes is specific. Silence is not a yes. Pressure is not a method. If someone is unsure, intoxicated, or unable to choose freely, the interaction stops. Coaching will not help you argue your way past that.
Honesty.
You do not get a false biography, a borrowed status, or a script that hides your intent. If you would not say the tactic out loud to the person it is aimed at, it does not belong in the work.
No manipulation tactics.
This desk does not teach jealousy plays, manufactured scarcity, negging, surveillance, or any move whose point is to reduce another adult’s ability to choose. Skill is not the same thing as control.
No client identities.
Names, workplaces, identifying details, and private stories do not become content. If an example is needed in public, it is composite or omitted. Your intake draft is not a license to publish you.
No promises of outcomes.
Coaching can improve how clearly you show up. It cannot make another person want you, stay, or reply. This desk will not quote a rate of success, because it does not have one it is willing to invent.
Not therapy
Coaching is not therapy.
This desk does not diagnose, treat, or manage mental illness, trauma, addiction, or crisis. It does not replace a physician, a therapist, a lawyer, or emergency services.
If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the United States, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline can be reached by calling or texting 988.
A coaching hour is not the place to process a crisis. The hour stops.
Referral
When the desk steps out.
If a person describes crisis, self-harm, abuse, a need for diagnosis, or anything a coach is not licensed to treat, the desk stops the coaching frame and says so in plain language.
The referral is toward licensed clinical care or emergency services, not toward more coaching. The desk does not continue the hour as if it were still a skills session. The desk does not publish the referral, the person’s name, or the story.
The same stop applies if the request is to manipulate, deceive, or involve anyone under 21. There is no alternate version of the work for those requests.
